We take a look at Hostinger and see who they are and what they offer.

The first thing that probably attracts most people is the incredibly low headline price of just £0.99p. When I first saw this promotion (which I believe may have been £0.88p), I was dubious what you would receive for your money and whether the service would be any good.

Hostinger’s £0.99p/month plan is probably the reason why most of us are here. Low headline prices attract a lot of attention.

Naturally, there are some limitations to this Plan. You can only host one website, with one email address and two MySQL databases and 100GB of monthly traffic. However, for many websites, this will be more than enough to cover your requirements.

Daily backups come at an extra £0.95/month, along with priority support £1.99/month. So if these are important to you, then it is certainly something to factor in. Unfortunately, these are both things you don’t necessarily need them until you need them.

Any website that is continuously changing should consider adding backups or ensure they have an alternative in place.

A couple of important factors to note are:

To receive the best pricing, you need to sign up and prepay a 48-month contract which works out at £47.52 for 4-years of web hosting, which is still incredibly cheap.
Once your contract ends, it renews at £2.99/month. Renewal increases are common practice with headline price hosts; however, often make incredibly cheap deals average.
As with any purchasing decision, these are not necessarily negatives. Going into any transaction armed with the facts will allow you to make an informed choice.

What Sort of Website Can I Run On Hostiger’s £0.99p Plan?
Hostinger’s £0.99p hosting plan is best suited to smaller sites. As with most web hosting providers, there will be limits on the number of files (emails, images, documents etc.) that you can store.

As the Plan comes with PHP & MySQL support, you can set up almost any type of website. Including WordPress.

If you run a small business or blog, Hostinger’s £0.99p Plan will suit most users.
